Head of Architecture
Mansell Taylor Consulting is proud to partner with Transmax to appoint a Head of Architecture, a key leadership role responsible for defining and governing enterprise architecture across a complex, evolving technology landscape.
This is a senior, player-coach position where you will set architectural direction while remaining close to critical technical decisions that shape platform capability, scalability, and performance.
The opportunity
This role sits at the centre of Transmax’s transition from a legacy platform to a modern cloud environment, establishing a clear target-state architecture and governance model.
You will work closely with senior leaders across engineering, product, and operations to ensure systems are secure, scalable, and aligned to long-term strategy.
What you’ll be doing
- Define and own enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap
- Establish governance frameworks, standards, and domain boundaries
- Lead API and integration architecture across distributed systems
- Drive cloud and security architecture (identity-first, zero trust)
- Oversee legacy-to-cloud transition and platform evolution
- Lead architectural risk management and governance forums
- Partner with senior stakeholders including across customers and partners to align technology and business outcomes
- Build and develop enterprise architecture capability
About you
- Proven experience in enterprise architecture leadership roles
- Strong background in cloud architecture, APIs, and distributed systems
- Experience across hybrid environments (on-prem and cloud)
- Track record delivering large-scale transformation programs
- Strong governance and architectural decision-making capability
- Executive-level stakeholder engagement and influence
- Experience leading architecture teams
- Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
