An opportunity exists for a Senior Treasury Manager to join a Brisbane headquartered business operating across Australia. This role is responsible for managing treasury, liquidity, financing and insurance risk management activities across the group. The position ensures robust cashflow visibility, compliance with financing obligations, effective insurer engagement and appropriate risk mitigation practices.
Key Responsibilities
Treasury Management
- Lead the preparation and management of cashflow forecasts across short, medium and longer-term horizons
- Develop and maintain treasury models to support operational planning, seasonal funding requirements and capital deployment
- Manage banking partnerships, monitor facility usage and ensure compliance with covenants and reporting obligations
- Assist with refinancing processes, funding negotiations and optimisation of the group's capital structure
- Oversee foreign currency exposures and implement appropriate hedging strategies where required
Insurance & Risk Management
- Assist in structuring and renewing the organisation's insurance program
- Manage relationships with insurance brokers and external providers
- Oversee claims administration and liaise with insurers on incidents and recoveries
- Ensure the business maintains appropriate insurance cover across operational, asset, liability, crop and business interruption risks
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Provide treasury-related insights and data to support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Prepare reporting packs for senior leadership, financiers, insurers and other stakeholders
- Analyse borrowing costs, insurance exposure and emerging financial risk trends
Compliance & Governance
- Maintain effective treasury and insurance frameworks, policies and internal controls
- Ensure adherence to financing agreements, regulatory standards and internal governance requirements
- Support internal and external audit activities relating to treasury and insurance
Continuous Improvement
- Enhance treasury systems and reporting to improve visibility and forecasting accuracy
- Identify opportunities to improve funding efficiency and risk management practices
- Participate in finance transformation and process improvement initiatives
Skills & Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
- CA or CPA or CFA qualification preferred (not essential)
- Proven treasury experience within a corporate or financial environment
- Experience managing financing facilities, cashflow forecasting and/or insurance programs highly regarded
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
- Exposure to legal, compliance or professional services environments advantageous
