Ready to take your radiography career in a different direction? If you're an experienced Radiographer who has always been the person others turn to when something isn't working, this could be the opportunity to move your career into clinical technology.
We're looking for someone who understands radiology, clinical workflows and imaging environments, but who also has a genuine interest in technology and enjoys working out why something isn't working. Perhaps you're already the person troubleshooting issues with RIS or PACS, helping colleagues when systems aren't behaving as expected, or working with IT when there's a technical problem. You might understand the basics of servers, networks or databases, even though you've never worked in a formal IT role. This permanent position gives you the opportunity to take that clinical knowledge and build a career in Clinical Application Support.
What you'll be doing
Working within an established Clinical applications team, you'll support the systems clinicians rely on every day.
You'll:
• Troubleshoot clinical application and workflow issues
• Investigate incidents and work through problems to identify the cause
• Support radiology applications, systems and users
• Assist with user access, configuration changes and data amendments
• Perform system checks and routine monitoring
• Assist with application testing, upgrades and releases
• Analyse recurring issues and help identify ways to prevent them
• Document issues, solutions and troubleshooting procedures
What we're looking for
Your radiology experience is important. We can build on your technical capability. Ideally, you'll have:
• A qualification and practical experience in Radiography / Medical Imaging
• A good understanding of radiology workflows and clinical environments
• Exposure to RIS, PACS, imaging systems or other clinical applications
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• A genuine interest in IT, systems and how technology works
• Enough technical understanding to be comfortable discussing servers, systems and data
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to support clinical users
• Curiosity and the willingness to develop deeper technical skills
Why make the move?
This is an opportunity to use the clinical knowledge you've already developed while building an entirely new technical career.
Rather than stepping away from healthcare, you'll use your understanding of radiology to help improve the systems and workflows clinicians depend on.
Apply
If you're a Radiographer who has been considering a move into IT or clinical systems, we'd be interested in hearing from you.
You don't need to tick every technical box. If you understand radiology, enjoy troubleshooting and have a genuine aptitude for technology, we'd encourage you to apply.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Brisbane. Applicants must have permanent Australian working rights. The successful applicant will be required to complete professional reference and police checks.
