We are recruiting an experienced D365 Integration Solution Architect for a 6+ month contract with a large, complex organisation based in Brisbane CBD. This role is focused on the technical architecture surrounding Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, particularly how the platform integrates with the organisation's existing Azure environment, Microsoft Fabric, enterprise applications, networking and security infrastructure.
We're not looking for someone to configure D365 or lead the functional implementation. We need someone who understands how to design and integrate D365 into an established enterprise technology environment, ensuring the solution is secure, scalable, supportable and aligned with existing architecture standards.
What you'll be doing
Working closely with the Program Manager, Enterprise Architecture team and System Integrator, you'll provide architectural direction and assurance across the technical environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and reviewing integration architecture between D365 F&O, Microsoft Fabric, Azure and other enterprise platforms.
- Defining integration patterns, data flows, APIs and connectivity requirements across the environment.
- Providing architectural guidance around Azure networking, identity, access management, security roles and administration.
- Reviewing proposed deployment designs to ensure D365 integrates effectively with existing infrastructure and enterprise standards.
- Assessing security, performance, availability, resilience and ongoing support requirements.
- Reviewing and challenging technical designs produced by the System Integrator, identifying risks and recommending improvements.
- Supporting architecture decisions relating to data integration, reporting, environment management and operational readiness.
About you
We're looking for an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in Microsoft enterprise environments and integration architecture.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Experience designing or governing solutions involving Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Strong knowledge of Azure architecture, integration services and enterprise connectivity.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure data platforms or enterprise data integration.
- Understanding of networking, identity and access management, role-based security and platform administration.
- Experience designing API-based integrations, data flows and integration patterns across enterprise applications.
- The ability to review technical designs, identify architectural risks and work effectively with System Integrators.
- Experience working within complex enterprise environments with established architecture and security standards.
Experience with Azure API Management, Service Bus, Dataverse, D365 integration frameworks or Microsoft Entra ID would be beneficial. We're particularly interested in architects who understand the broader Microsoft technology environment and have experience integrating major enterprise applications.
